Texas Children's Aortopathy and Arteriopathy Research Program
(Dr. Shaine Morris)
Our team specializes in the care of pediatric and adult congenital patients with cardiac arrhythmia disorders. Our clinical practice largely involves pediatric patients with supraventricular tachycardia, Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome and AV block. We are aiming to identify the genetic and molecular causes of arrhythmia disorders in order to prevent sudden death and improve the quality of care and outcomes among our patients. We are working to better understand genetically-mediated aortic and arterial disease in children and young adults, and how to use this information to improve the lives of families affected by these conditions. The conditions we focus on include Marfan syndrome, Vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Loeys-Dietz syndrome, FLNA-related disorders, arterial tortuosity syndrome, Williams syndrome and elastin arteriopathies, as well and familial aortopathy disorders without a known genetic diagnosis.

Your gift will help to advance the Cardiovascular Genetics Program at Texas Children's Hospital. Every gift -- whether $1, $1,000 or $1 million -- makes a difference in the life of a child.
