A Race for Texas Children's Hospital
Racing to Heal Sick Children returns to the world of racing this summer running the Worlds Fastest naturally aspirated ZR1 current top speed 230 mph and the Red Modifed sports Twin Turbo Corvette (Fastest C4) with a current top speed of 278 mph on the 5 miles of Salt at Bonneville.
Rick had a great start for this year with the red twin turbo, running 244mph in the standing mile at Victoria Texas We will be racing the twin turbo car in The Arkansas Mile on June 2-4 and then back to the salt flats with both cars for Speed Week August 12-19.
The team is focused not only on speed, but also on their goal of raising $10,000 for Texas Children's Hospital The Woodlands. On any given day, 150 children from north Houston receive care at Texas Children’s Main Campus, which is 35, 40, 50 miles or more from their homes. In 2017, when Texas Children’s opens the doors to its new hospital—the only dedicated pediatric hospital in the area—these children and families will have convenient access to the care they need and deserve.
Texas Children’s Hospital has been committed to excellence in pediatric care, education and research for more than 60 years. In that time they have taken care of countless children. A gift to Texas Children's Hospital The Woodlands will help expand this specialized care north so we can take care of sick and hurt children more quickly.
