Time:
12:00 PM - 2:30 PM
Location:
Duncan Neurological Research Institute at Texas Children's

Hear directly from Dr. Huda Zoghbi about the Duncan NRI’s unprecedented advancements in neurodegenerative disease research. In exciting recent work, our researchers have identified a pathway in the brain that can lower levels of a protein called “tau,” which would be protective to the aging brain and has the potential to delay or prevent dementia. Through discoveries like these, our extraordinary team of physician-scientists, computational scientists, geneticists and others is unraveling the underlying mechanisms responsible for these devastating disorders and paving the way for the development of breakthrough therapies.
