In Honor of Henry Engel

Henry Engel Henry was a beloved child and a true hero. He passed away from Rett syndrome in 2022, but his life continues to inspire hope. In his honor, Dr. Huda Y. Zoghbi and her team at the Duncan Neurological Research Institute have worked with great care and determination to find a new way to help children with Rett syndrome. Their work focuses on increasing MeCP2, an important brain protein that is missing in children with the condition. This discovery brings real hope for the first time.
