Lifetime Ambassadors

Each year, Ambassadors focus their fundraising on a single program, increasing the impact they have and the difference they can make at Texas Children’s. In 2025–2026, our focus will be on Kangaroo Crew, Texas Children’s medical transport team.

From neonates to adolescents, the Texas Children’s Kangaroo Crew transports critically ill patients to our four Texas Children’s Hospital locations for expert care. En route, their specialized teams care for patients with complex medical needs, including those requiring intensive care and Level I trauma support.

Medical care begins even before the patient enters the ambulance. When the phone rings at the Kangaroo Crew's 24/7 communication center, the team jumps into action, consulting with appropriate subspecialists and forming a plan of care so that treatment can begin the moment the patient enters one of our ground, fixed-wing or helicopter ambulances.

When the team and patient arrive at one of our Houston-area Texas Children’s Hospitals or at Texas Children’s Hospital Austin Campus, the level of excellent critical and intensive care continues seamlessly.
