Welcome to my fundraising page. My goal is to raise money to support the patients at Texas Children’s. With your support, I know I can reach my goal. This is a fundraiser that hits close to home as Texas Children’s Hospital has been a big part of my family’s life. My little cousin named Brianna Williams our Heart Warrior, who is now 18 years old is a current patient at Texas Children's Hospital. Since the age of 3, Brianna has been suffering from an extremely rare and non-curable condition called Restrictive Cardiomyopathy. At the age of 14, Brianna was able to have a heart transplant and her new heart took its first beat on September 24, 2017 at 11:58. In that moment Brianna was given a second chance at life. A year later her body began rejecting her heart and since then she has been struggling with the antibodies being so aggressive and not leaving her heart alone. Although now her results still show positive for rejection and although her chart is getting longer and longer, Texas Children’s Hospital has not given up on her. She was denied a 2nd heart transplant but doctors from all over the world continue to team up to come with the next plan of treatment. Through the rocky road to recovery she has still managed to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Cypress Creek class of 2020 and is currently attending her first semester as a Bobcat at Texas State University. Even at the age of 18 Texas Children’s Hospital still watches over her and she continues to live strong.
