Tri With Heart for CICU Nursing Education
We are a team of CICU nurses and practitioners who work with
critically ill infants and children with congenital heart disease at Texas
Children's Hospital Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.
We strongly value the power of education which helps us deliver the best care to our critically ill patients. In our environment, a strong nursing educational foundation and promotion of professional growth allow for the growth of a supportive and stable team that can focus on the recovery of our patients after congenital cardiac surgery or critical cardiac illness.
As a team participating in the Waco Ironman 70.3 on October 15th, we would like to take this opportunity to raise funds for Texas Children's CICU nursing education. We hope that you will join us in this cause and support our Tri With Heart Team. We will do the hard work of completing Ironman knowing that we have your support and thoughts in mind.
We will have Sebastian and Nikki compete in a 1.2-mile swim (2112 yards), Matt and Sou compete in a 56-mile bike race, and Brad and Kellie compete in a 13.1-mile run. Sponsor us per mile, per yard, as a team, individually, or by the event, and know that your support will not only inspire us to beat our own records but most importantly support a new generation of nurses that work in our CICU at Texas Children's Hospital.
