Francier's 65th Birthday Fundraiser for Texas Children's Hospital
This past fall I was fortunate enough to travel to South Africa and finally see a piece of the continent my ancestors came from. I made friends and many memories I will never forget, and while I was amazed by the culture, creativity, and genius of the people I met, I was simultaneously struck by the poverty and need surrounding me as well.
My son told me about some of the amazing work Texas Children’s hospital is doing for women and children in Africa, and I felt an immediate pull to help as best I could.
