As many of you know, my cousin Michael Finnerty's beautiful little girl Corinne has been undergoing a battle with cancer this past year. She was diagnosed just after her 4th birthday. 

On July 26th, I’m swimming 1.5 miles in the NCC pool in honor of Corinne, who was diagnosed with Stage IV Wilms Tumor and is currently receiving treatment at Texas Children’s Hospital. Brave Corinne has undergone surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy under the expert care of their incredible medical teams.

Our goal is to exceed $100,000! All funds raised through our swim will support the Surgical Oncology Lab at Texas Children’s, where Dr. Sanjeev Vasudevan and his team are leading cutting-edge research focused on pediatric solid tumors. Their work includes cancer modeling, molecular profiling, and testing of new targeted therapies — all in the pursuit of better treatments and cures for kids like Corinne.
