On July 26 I will swim alongside 30 other family and friends to find new cures for childhood cancer and to honor my cousin's four year old daughter, Corinne Finnerty.  Diagnosed in September of 2024 with a Stage IV Wilms Tumor, Corinne is currently a patient at Texas Children's Hospital where she has undergone surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy treatment. Her journey continues because of the life-changing work of the dedicated staff at Texas Children's Oncology Center and Surgical Research Center. 

The first person to give my cousin and his family hope was Dr. Sanjeev Vasudevan.  All the funds raised through my swim will go directly to Texas Children's Surgical Oncology Lab where Dr. Vasudevan leads cutting edge research directed at finding new cures for pediatric solid tumors. Our hope is to move the world one step closer to a day that any child facing any cancer diagnosis receives the BEST care the world has to offer.
