Mayer-Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser (MRKH) syndrome is a congenital condition affecting 1 in 5,000 female births. It means that parts of the reproductive system are underdeveloped or missing.
MRKH is typically diagnosed during adolescence, a time already filled with emotional and physical changes, making the news even more overwhelming.
My MRKH
When I was 16, I was told I would never be able to carry a child. At the time, I didn’t fully grasp the magnitude of the diagnosis or how isolating and overwhelming it could feel. Living with MRKH is incredibly challenging—emotionally, physically, and mentally—especially when you face it alone. Fifteen years later, I’ve discovered a path that gives me purpose, a voice, and a space to heal. That’s why it’s so important to provide support to every MRKH warrior: to offer guidance, resources, and a community that makes them feel seen, heard, and understood—so no one has to face this journey alone.
