This fund is a tribute to Cindy’s extraordinary legacy of more than 40 years at Texas Children’s Hospital. Cindy was very proud of her pivotal role in launching the Heart Surgery Program in POD3 of the former PICU on the third floor of West Tower. 

Through her unwavering dedication and exemplary leadership, Cindy fostered the continued growth of the Heart Center and positively influenced countless colleagues.

Cindy’s compassion and generosity were evident in every interaction; she was known for her encouraging presence, always ready with a warm smile and a helping hand. 

Cindy was deeply devoted to mentoring and teaching nurses at all stages of their careers. Cindy took great pride in supporting the next generation of nurses in the Heart Center, nurturing their development and inspiring excellence.

The fund is established to honor Cindy’s passion for nursing education. It will provide opportunities for bedside nurses and leaders to attend educational events, further their professional growth, and enhance their skills. 

Cindy would be truly honored to know that her legacy at Texas Children’s Hospital Heart Center will endure, supporting lifelong learning and advancing nursing care for years to come.
