My name is Nana-Adwoa McKeown, and I am a fourth-grade student at French Elementary School in Texas.
One day, while watching the news, I saw a commercial about a hospital asking for support to offer treatment for cancer kids. I have never been so moved by a commercial like this before; instantly, I felt a calling to help the kids. Since then, I have always looked forward to seeing this commercial. I started reading about cancer and even saved money to support research. Since that day, I have paid attention to every commercial or material on cancer kids. I kept asking myself questions and wondering what these kids were going through and what I could do to make them feel better.
A tenth birthday is a milestone, a special one, for that matter. I was thinking about how it could be a special and memorable one, and immediately, the thought of cancer kids came to mind. I feel they’re part of my family now, and spending time with them is the best gift for me. As a Christian, I believe prayer can solve any problem, and I know Jesus loves children and can heal cancer. On my birthday, I want to partner with my family, friends, teachers, neighbors, and everyone who wants to do something special this year.
I humbly request your help to join me, visit my friends, and make a generous donation to them.
Teamwork makes the dream work.
Together, we have the opportunity to put smiles on the faces of kids who have cancer.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
