Ashley's Spark: Igniting hope for leukemia warriors
As a childhood cancer survivor this foundation is dear to my heart. I was 2yrs old when I was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia. I went through 7 years of chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant. The physicians never thought that I would be able to have children and now I am a mother of 2 beautiful boys. Growing up I always wanted to become a doctor so I could help save others' lives (or even the ones that saved me), but when I got older, I found that my passion was not just saving lives but was helping others in all aspects of life. I survived out of 52 children that were in my “unit” at the time and became part of the sunshine kids program along with going to camp periwinkle.
I am helping to raise funds to help Texas Children's cure childhood cancer.
